Privacy Policy

Location and course exploration

Location permission is optional. Course Atlas uses it to display your position relative to the selected course and calculate nearby course points on your device. The app does not send your location to a Course Atlas server or store a location history. You can change permission in iOS Settings and continue exploring without it.

Apple services and external links

Apple Maps / MapKit uses Apple network services to display maps. Apple processes information under its own policies. Source and support links open external websites. See Apple Maps privacy information and TestFlight privacy information.

What the app does not do

Course Atlas has no accounts, advertising, behavioral tracking, analytics SDK, user-generated content service, push notifications or Course Atlas cloud sync. We do not sell user data. Course and terrain data are bundled with the app.

Support and beta feedback

If you email us or send TestFlight feedback, we receive the information you provide and may receive beta diagnostics from Apple. We use that information to respond to support requests and investigate app issues. Email and TestFlight providers process messages and diagnostics through their services. Please avoid including unnecessary personal or precise location information. To request deletion of support correspondence held by us, email rossbain@mac.com. Apple manages information held by its services under its own policies.

This website

These static pages are hosted by Cloudflare. Requests to the hosting provider include ordinary connection information such as IP address and browser request details. These pages contain no analytics scripts, advertising or tracking cookies. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
